Pressing And Decanting

From the cooker the product is discharged it is now called Greaves; it is conveyed to the presses. The Greaves are then separated into two end products, fats and solids, by three mechanical screw presses.
The heat given off during pressing process generates hot air; this hot air is scrubbed in an air washer and then treated in the bio-filter. As the Tallow contains some dirt at this stage, there are two decanters to clean the tallow.
